Why You Should Be More Grateful!!

The Value of Gratitude

I recent made a post on how to be more grateful. This is a post were I would like to illustrate why you should be more grateful. Millions of people right now are miserable. They wake up and feel like the world is not really conducive to their plans, or that things are just not going their way. Many of these people have everything that you could want in life, or at least the basics. Yet, there seems to be a pull against their will, and they are just going through the motions of daily living. You may find yourself in a place where you just don’t feel like going to work, or even getting out of bed. Occasionally, this is ok, we all feel run down and tired, but if it’s a continual thing, then it may be a sign of bigger issues. Let’s assume that you don’t have a physical or mental problem (depression, fibromyalgia, etc.), and instead face the notion of gratitude, as it comes into a valuation that is well worth exploring.

The Gratitude We Forget

On the surface, everyone should be grateful, but it’s hard to find balance here sometimes. It’s for that reason that the average person forgets about things. The daily grind, the 9 to 5, the bills, the kids, and lots more weigh heavy on the shoulders. If you feel that this is wearing you down, step back, and understand that things aren’t so bad. Yes, life can get a little complex, but there are things in time that should illustrate that you are ok. It’s easy to forget this notion, which is why it’s imperative that you do not forget to take time to be gracious.

Making A List

Look at the points that successful people try to work on regularly, and you’re going to see that they create a list of things to be grateful for. In fact, it’s part of the effective things that successful people do on a regular basis. There’s great value here because it illustrates what you have. A roof over your head, family that loves you, weather, food, and so much more come to mind when you start to make a list and appreciate what you have.

Read The World News

The value of gratitude creates a different state for your mind if you look at the hardships that others are facing. Read the world news, and look at how many people are without water, food, shelter, or dealing with tragedies. This is not meant to make you feel sad, but rather to show you that you may not have so much to complain about. The value of being grateful is to help you realize that a bit of a pickup can be generously given if you just step back and look at the value of this notion.
